WearAfrica Trinidad and Tobago

The idea for WearAfrica TT began with seeing beautiful T-shirts made by a Ghanaian friend's wife. They were unique, featuring vibrant African prints. It was something that many Caribbean people did not see before, since the idea of wearing African print clothing is often limited to more formal wear or local Emancipation Day celebrations - but not as casual, everyday clothing. Even better, bringing these styles to the Caribbean market allows us to patronize the business of our African designers as our business grows - a win-win situation. So, we launched in 2022 with our first T-shirts, shipped directly from West Africa. Beyond clothing, our vision includes education. We want our customers and followers to learn more about the diversity, culture and history of African nations, so that the continent is seen as a great place to visit, work and invest. We also care about giving back at WearAfricaTT and decided that 25% of our sales income will be donated to various humanitarian and community outreaches. Making positive impact is important to us, so we want our business to be involved in helping others.
